Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”Proverbs 22:6

The Bible does not lie; it has been proved right over and over again. Parents, we must raise our children to respect the Lord and His Word and to respect others and to love themselves. In Africa there is a saying, “It takes a whole village to raise a child.” This means that we are all responsible for the children of the church. Teach them well; the results last a lifetime!

More than one-third of the world’s  population are children.

? 78% of the world’s children have never heard the name of Jesus.
? The probability of someone receiving Christ as their Saviour is 32% for children between the ages of 5 – 12 years but only 4% for children between the ages of 14-18 years and only 6% for people older than 19 years.
These statistics challenge us to make ministry to children a top priority within our Church locally and nation wide.

CHILD PROTECTION ISSUES

Our church observes strict rules regarding working with children. “The role of the Criminal Records Bureau is to reduce the risk of abuse by ensuring that those who are unsuitable are not able to work with children and vulnerable adults” – The Rt Hon. David Blunkett MP. Under the governance policy of the Church, all persons working with high risk groups must be CRB checked, verified by its Enhanced Criminal Record Certificate.
