This Week's Sermon Podcast - Pastor Bernard - Easter Sunday Message

Rev Bernard & Maureen Morris
In 1995, at the age of 33, Pastor Bernard answered the call of God to become Senior Pastor of Inns Court Christian Fellowship ( A Church of God of Prophecy local church) based in Knowle West, South Bristol; a role he has now fulfilled for 27 years. This fellowship of approaching 70 people is a family oriented, vibrant, fast growing church with a strong evangelical focus; community events include family fun days, youth events and various outdoor witnesses.
MISSION STATEMENT:
‘Our commitment is to bring all people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.’ Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, 10, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19, 20KJV
Serving God
Not only do we seek to know God but we are keen to glorify Him through service. For us, service is the heart of the Christian life. Jesus came “to serve” and “to give” As God blesses us we are able to shift our focus from “Who’s going to meet my needs?” and starts asking, “Whose needs can I meet?”
Serving The Community
We recognise the privilege and opportunity to touch the lives of others. Jesus declared that we are the "salt of the earth" and the "light of the world" (Matt. 5:13-16). At Knowle West church we look for opportunities to be the salt and light in the local community.
Serving Each Other
Jesus showed how community is important. He created a community of followers who traveled with him, living and learning as they went. They grew in faith individually, but they did so largely in the setting of community as they prayed, learnt and ministered and shared together.
